About the role

The Post Harvest Specialist (Trim, Dry, Pack) daily duties are as below.

1) Drying involves the hanging and frequent checking of harvested plant material to ensure consistent drying throughout the batch.  This includes;

 

ensuring that there is adequate spacing between plants to enable necessary airflow

 

ensuring that humidity levels are consistent with expected levels within the drying area

 

regular checks on plant material and tracking of moisture levels present

 

removal and disposal of any damaged or fallen plant material

 

Regular checks on dehumidifiers

 

Maintaining lighting requirements in GMP room.

 

Logging of all data and activities undertaken during the drying process.

 

2) Trimming involves receiving the dried plant material and preparing it for sale by separating the buds from the stalks, removing excess leaves and improving its overall aesthetic appearance in line with customer expectations. This involves:

 

De-budding the dried plants by use of a de-budding machine

 

Taking the newly separated buds and transferring them into the trimming machine

 

Ensuring both the trimming machine and de-budding machine are cleaned and well maintained between uses

 

Visually inspecting the buds as they exit the trimming machine

 

Manually removing any excess/undesirable material not removed by the trimming machine

 

Frequent cleaning of trimming scissors to prevent resin build up

 

Proper storage of freshly trimmed buds to prevent excess drying

 

Ensuring all freshly trimmed batches are properly labelled and stored

 

Recording and disposal of excess plantmaterial removed during the trim process

 

Weighing and recording of weights prior to commencing trim process and of final product.

 

3) Packing involves ensuring all end packaging process is followed and packed in a GMP compliant process. This involves primary and secondary packaging.

Skills and experience

 

Experience working in a laboratory/cleanroom environment (GMP/GCP/GLP), in a production capacity.

 

Ability to interpret manufacturing formulae's accurately.

 

Recent University graduates with laboratory skills accepted.

Yep strains your not allowed to try ,,,,,no pockets coz they won't trust you.

Just menial work that most here hate having to do.

 

Matter of fact if I had a legal setup I would not employ smokers .

I would, sensi seed bank does, greenhouse seeds does, etc etc. Come on sedge E, you have to be able to trust a stoner + I'm a tech head, so there would almost be cameras inside the buds watching my employees, working away ...
