A 26-YEAR-OLD man will face court after police seized cannabis worth almost $30,000 in a raid on the lower NSW north coast, police said today.

 

Detectives acting on a tip-off raided the home in Georgetown at 4pm (AEDT) yesterday, finding cannabis plants and bags of leaf, a NSW police spokesman said.

 

The drugs had an estimated street value of $28,600.

 

A man was interviewed and charged with possessing and cultivating prohibited plants and possessing a prohibited drug.

 

He will appear in Newcastle Local Court on December 21.
