I've struggled with veggies over the last couple seasons, have had some 'green dragon' broccoli on the go for a bit now, hasn't gone to head yet.. should it of?

Nah shoulda had the pile started heaps earlier, and the grass under the cardboard wasn't as dead as I'd hoped...

 

I've still got some broccoli flowering but have had a bit of a stagger with them. No size to the ones that have finished though...

Cheers Sooty, its been a bit of work.

 

Comfrey going on the lower side to catch water and nutes from 4 beds.

 

Have 7 beds all in spuds. 8 varieties. Will stick to 2-3 varieties once I see how they go

 

1 bed of Dutch .creams are seed potatoes from last harvest.

 

I cut the grass and dig up 150-200mm, then add compost I have made and mix it all up. I hit it with kelp and gypsum and cover with Lucerne.

Ideally .let it sit for a week or 3 while keeping it moist then plant in.

 

I sometimes dust the seed with pure sulphur to avoid rot but not essential esp if u have gypsum in there.

 

Pretty Easy to .grow.
