Jimboss83
What a good idea tunkers ! I was only thinking this the other day and trying to find sites about general gardening ...I’ve never actually grown my own veggies or fruit before -giving canna a crack from last year and joining this forum has helped me learn so much already ! So ... could I mix soil in with coco if I make up a garden bed ? I’ve currently got AstroTurf out the back and the kids would love a veggie patch and after seeing this now I’m inspired to create an Easter project Figure it could be a good way to get rid of my excess coco after each grow as well or is it not recommended ? As for indoor, of course you can! I know porsha or porcha sorry can't remember the spelling is/was a member here who was growing all sorts of food under blurple LED's. Nutter3
Yeah dig your used coco in , wont do any harm , especially if ya soil is a clay typeGarlic , is a plant now , but don't buy from a supermarket , all there garlic would have been treated with a growth retardant, to stop it shooting, also avoid planting any garlic that has shot, as the roots have to play catchup , the whole way , & they forget to grow a decent bulb, very few pests bother garlic & a winter grow , means little attention, but garlic wont be ready to harvest until next November , its also 1 of the few root crops that don't mind a feed , if grown properly garlic will produce 10 fold & U can get 6 good months of storage out of it, other vegies to put in now would be , cabbage , cauli, broccoli, silverbeet, spring onions ……..spring onions do really well in 1 of those foam broccoli boxes U see in the supermarkets , a whole punnet fits in there nicely, & easy to weed , I always just use soil from the garden , but mix in sum crap potting mix , to break the soil down & give the roots more freedom & oxygen& if your going to start a winter garden , look to see where the morning sun hits , its worth double of arvo sunOur soils are still very warm so its a good time to start things, just go for it
Nutter3
Saw a similar thread when I was perusing a deserted gardening forum. I can't find any decent sort of forums for general gardening and thought it would be cool to see what everyone is planting out through the seasons?A few of this seasons tommies Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

Tunkers
A mate and myself are planning to keep each other motivated enough to maintain a big no till garden that will make Mr. Charles Dowding jealous lolol I've been busy gathering poop with the kids. Karma for them being little shits their entire lives haha We've got pig and horse shit and a whole heap of brown waste of dried up twigs, leaves etc that was already collecting around the slab. Been emptying ashes in there as well. I'll whack up another sheet of iron and cover when it gets decent size to cook for a few months and then flip to the other side. I've been taking a few boxes home after each shift and covering some of the area we plan to use.. the entire garden will be fenced off around 30m² but will slowly utilise more and more area as we get enough compost and mulch etc Any suggestions or help with our project is more then welcome. I'm a noob and a plant murderer as you all know so will definitely need it hahaHereIMG_20190215_115614.jpeg Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile appFuck yeah! Nice work mate
