another product i use allot of is EM-1 , effective microorganisms 

 

although not a mountain organics or coot ingredient 

it is mentioned & used allot by members of the PFA , Probiotic Farmers Alliance

you can get 500ml bottle as well , you can also extend 1lt , 500ml or any amount 20x your starting amount 

the original has a shelf life of 12mths , the extended version has a shelf life of 6mths

the inventors have open sourced the version they sell of bokashi called grokashi http://gro-kashi.com/

i make this stuff & use it with liquid em-1 on canna very regularly 

def increases plant health as well as helping the composting happening in the mulch layer & throughout the pot

just wondering ... sorry if you've replied to this one heaps ... ... what amounts do you use and how often to you apply .... or should i have a read first and stop being lazy.

 

ps: bought my strainer and bananas sorted. a little reg afgnai#1 seed is being prepared very soon.

sweet , afgna#1 fem seeds here we come you are planning on planting more than one seed aren't cha 

cos most of the time the banana thing produces 100% fem's but every now & then it's not 100% & you end up with a male

i know what you mean ... i should start at least two seeds. i am really limited for space though - i managed to squeeze a space bucket into the drobe and will have that running for my seedling/early veg stage. i could squeeze in two small seedling pots into the bucket, but after three weeks - even with main-lining and topping ... it would be tight. i have to get the affie started a month or so earlier to fit in with inspections again. the tent during this time has the lemon skunk inside.

 

never done it but was thinking of putting the main cola from the first topping in water and sticking it in with the flowering lemon skunk for a couple of weeks - heard that in 7-14 days sex is shown and if a boy ... can start the process all over again. not sure how 10on/14off light schedule would go with the experiment either. was 50/50 on which way to go -  but now leaning towards two seeds.

 

might do some more measuring ...

i can never find it but years ago there was a guy growing in 600ml coke bottles 

he would put clones in the bottles & pretty much flip straight away 

 

means he grows a single stork that ends up weighing around 7 to 10 grams per coke bottle 

now think of how many 600ml coke bottles can you fit in a square meter 

i think each bottle takes up around 70mm of ground space , that's a shit load of bottles X 7 to 10 grams = shit loads 

 

i think i heard skunk man sam mention on hash church , putting seedlings into flower for only 2 to 3 days 

then back into veg will help to show sex but not cause full flower & a re-veg situation , i've never done it but

this is what he said , can't remember how old the seedlings were when he would do this

Dunno about 600mls, but this was the inspiration for my hempy sog. Just never got the numbers up.. maybe this seasons indoor run...
