Seed making

Ok so I'm quite new, please bear with me and excuse any ignorance.

So buying seeds is just not viable on an ongoing basis, due to not just cost, but the desire for anonymity.

 

So I have some auto growing currently.

I have colloidal silver 50ppm

I know how to spray etc

Was my plan to sacrifice whole plant n get heaps pollen, refrigerate or freeze.

Grow another same type auto and pollenate entire plant to harvest a good bank of seeds for future use.

I'm assuming they they will be good autos as from same parents.

 

Time consuming I know but if get plenty seeds that are good, makes worth while.

 

Are there flaws in my plan...?

Should work and less risk than selective pollenation.

 

Frozen should last for 12 months , all seeds should be autofems

Roughly how many seeds could I expect from a single auto entirely pollenated and allowed to grow out?

I know many variables here, just wondered roughly, as I see some with pics of a handful, others with huge bags.

Id be hoping for a few hundred for my efforts...

Do you intend on multi stage pollenating? If so seeds will develop at different rates, although you will get more overall.

 

Try and let the plant pretty much die of old age and you will get the best eggs.

 

Be careful of mould or rot if your area is prone to it

I was just gonna wait and pollenate all at once.

But then yes let die on its own.

Could do more if pollen left.

Not doing for anything more than personal use, but figured if do one good plant properly be better than several half efforts.
