How do I know if the plant is dead?

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

I'm a new member, (signed up today) and I'd like to gather an understanding to determine if my plant is dead or not. I can provide photos if this is the easiest way for the experts to assist?

I've done a bit of reading but the reason I've decided to sign up on the forums is to attempt to get some first hand advice, and also a lot of articles and information I've read will often contradict other information / articles. So some quick history on my plant;

Re-potted about a week ago, clipped off all the dead leaves and took it back to bare basics (I hope this was the right move, from what I've been reading the thought process was to "shock" the plant back into a growing stage). The plants stems initially were all brown and almost looked like twigs. Since re-potting and monitoring the pH levels to keep between 5.2 and 6.2 I've seen a significant change in the stem (almost green right through to the roots now) and the plant has started to grow what looks to be little nuggets and/or the start of new leaves? Would this suggest the plant is still alive and capable of eventually bringing a harvest? Also the plant is being grown indoors and follows a 12/12 schedule.

Forgive me if I haven't provided enough information as this is the first time for me, (completely new to growing). Again if photos and/or any additional information would be helpful please let me know,

Thanks everyone.

Regards
