ozraptorismine
I bought a few seeds from Yantra last year so that I could try growing a few different varieties. I decided that I would grow in pots so that I could control things a little more than if they were straight into the soil. I also decided to add some Brunnings 30L Coir Garden Soil Block to the organic potting mix in hope of helping moisture retention which turned out to be a big mistake. I have worm farms so I added a couple of handfuls of castings to each pot for fertilizer. I put the seeds in early September and they all came up with good healthy seedlings (I used Bunnings Coco pots and a seed raising mix. A couple of weeks later I transplanted them into 290mm pots with the above soil mixture and watered them in with a Seasol solution. Over the next 4 weeks they hardly grew at all, by this stage the best of them had 3 sets of true leaves so I decided it was panic stations time. Fortunately I had bought enough seeds so that I could try again and so at the end of October I started again, planting into the coco pots with seed raising mix. Again they popped well and by mid October I planted into 290mm pots again but this time without the coir soil block. These took very well and other than having large gaps between branches I have been very happy with their progress. The original plantings have continued to struggle, the worst of them, a C99 X Blueberry started flowering in November when it only had 2 sets of leaves, f*ck me. It eventually started to re-veg when it finally came to terms with its environment and started growing. All my original plantings have recovered somewhat but the largest of them, the G13Haze is only currently 40cm tall. Both plantings have been fertilized by a mixture of blood and bone, Chicken manure, worm wee and a high Nitrogen kelp fertilizer. This is how they look today, all plants have been flowering for 2 weeks: The 1st planting which I have recently potted into larger pots. Their roots hadn't filled the original pot but I don't like to transplant too far into the flowering cycle. C99 X Blueberry Caramel Kush Phantom OG G13 Haze The second planting couldn't be more different; they are all over 1.5m and even though they were very stretchy early their pre-flower stretch was minimal. C99 X Blueberry I also bought a mixed pack from Yantra so I have a couple of unknown strains This is the only one to start showing any resin so far This one is 1.8m I potted these ones into 50 litre pots early in January; again the roots hadn't filled the pots but were fast getting there and looked very healthy. I called in to my local hydro shop yesterday and I bought some Hy-Gen Coco bloom to try; I have previously used Natrakelp 5:6:19 which gives decent flowers but not as resinous as I would like.
