Reflective material

Hey gang

I’ve got white cool room paneling as my grow room standard room height (2.1m) and 3x 2 - I removed my existing tent to utilise more space but figured I’d need to still put some form of reflective material on the walls ? Any recommendations please

I once grew in a cool-room

the White paint on the panel is enough of a 'reflection' to use for growing

If you really want to use something try panda film, it's cheap and easy to hang.

If the coolroom panels are white already then you're set

As above, the Flat White cool room walls are good as they are currently. You could also paint the floor Flat White. Shoes off at the door and don a pair of booties for inside.

 

I hope you have plenty of ventilation for the size of the space.

Awesome guys appreciate the feedback - Think I will need to upgrade the vent size from 125mm to 150 for both intake and exhaust and upgrade the carbon filters, fan etc

Match the whole intake, exhaust and filter sides of the system so there are no bottle necks. I'd be looking at 200-250mm fans as a min, plus osculating fans for circulation within the room.

 

You're looking to shift approx 440 cf of air, ventilation is vital.

Thanks Zen2U and papa and everyone else for the feedback . Shit yeah lucky I’ve cut some 300 holes in the roof already so will just get another Dektite and upgrade to 250s !!! Thankyou - best to hang the carbon filter high up or leave on ground ? I have ducting blowing the air in low

Inlets = low, hopefully cooler air.

 

Outlets = High, removing warmer air.

 

Filters = high(out of the way, minimum of ducting) inline with outlet, making sure the filter can flow the correct amount of air matched to fans or greater(no bottle necks).

 

Osculating fans at plant height, causes plant movement(essential) and circulates hot air build up from lights away from the plants.

Great reply Zen . Yep I’m on the right track - I’m a newb I’ve done about 3 grows since starting May last year .. made a mistake back in October by now having fan across plants and really bushy leaves in the tight grow space and caused bud rot mould throughout 2 of the 4 plants - devastating. So that’s why I’ve decided to open the area a bit more so plants aren’t touching each other and I’m able to get in and around them easier instead of snapping branches etc .
