when i was little i got severely bullied by kids and even had a teacher forcibly putting me into situations with the other kids and id get pretty messed up both emotionally and physically by them. changed school but i was that freiked out from previous experiences with other kids my age that i became distant and not very social, so the other kids picked on me. this happened at roughly 4 or 5 schools... From those experiences i have Depression, anxiety and Post Truamatic Stress Disorder.
out of school i damaged my back whilst horse riding allot and now i have about 3 or 4 discs in my lower back that are outa place and im in pain allot from it. also hurt my knee when i was little and it never heald properly. and back in late 2010 i broke a ligement in my left ankle, it never healed properly and now i find it hard to walk more then 10 minutes every day withought my ankle swelling up and the pain is really bad. i also have insomnia pretty bad and also RLS (restless leg syndrome)
i also have reoccuring pnumonia that has hospitalised me 2 times. and i have viral induced asthma.
untill late august last year i had never tried cannabis and for the previous 12 months i had been researching cannabis for pain releif and also to help with my depression and so i decided to buy a small portable vaporizer called the MFLB because i wanted the healthiest aproache to cannabis and got a friend to find some cannabis for me, overall that was the best night of my life when i first vaporized, the instant i inhaled my first vapor puff i noticed pain slipping away i was able to walk normally and i veiwed life completely possitively for the first time in years. since then on my 18th birthday in september i baught a desktop vaporizer called the Extreme Q 4.0, i find that if i dont vaporize every day that depression starts to take hold and also i find it extremely difficult to stop my legs from twitching 24/7 and sleep is very hard to come by.
lately i have been realising that indica is the best medicine for me because of the stress and pain it brings off and sativas really dont do it that much for me its too racy and extreme but hybrids i enjoy. im currently going to be harvesting my own home grown medicine tomorrow im very excited to be able to get away from dealers and all that and being able to vape when the pain comes anocking instead of trying to conserve it.
anyway im very happy that you found cannabis helped with your problems too its the best medicine and the best thing is its all natural, we even have our own endocanabinoid system in our bodies.

I wonder if some of you that are aware of the differences between sativa and indica would know whether it's specifically one of these that can cause the exacerbated anxiety reaction that some of get? If I don't combine with alcohol or valium I usually always have an internal panic attack where my thoughts are racing and I experience paranoia.
I am wanting to take up smoking again for asthma, headaches and anxiety if possible. When I was young I smoked moderately for many years without any negative reactions, but since an abusive relationship in my 30's it tends to give me a bad hit. Can this be overcome???

Well, I've had bud a few night the past week. I can't believe how good this stuff is for the pain I experience.
There's the fact that because of the short term memory being messed with even if I actually experience a severe cramp I don't remember it 30 seconds later. There's also a lot of analgesic relief in that the knee joint doesn't ache after about 20 to 25 minutes. This relief lasts for several hours.
The thing I wasn't expecting is how well I sleep after having a bowl. I've slept better this week than for the last six months. Even taking all the synthetics most nights I go to bed and it takes me an hour or two to get to sleep because of continual small muscle cramps and nerve pains. With the mj I'm out almost as soon as my head hits the pillow.
Mark me down as a believer. And thanks to the people who've contacted me in private with offers to help. I appreciate it.
I like the way you list the [positive] side effects, I'm sure many many people could relate to those. All the best on your journey, take care sir.
