Organic, pro-biotic and organic growing without bottled nutrients

Recommended Posts

Half of it has sold along with another pallet, it should be ready in less than 2 weeks. I'd like it to totally cycle before selling it

A couple of questions for you DNG.

What do you mean when you say "cycle it"? Does this mean that you are turning the mix over during the two weeks?

It looks as though the mix is outside. Do you keep it covered or open?

Also what are your thoughts about including coffee grounds in your mix?

Hey, by cycling I just mean a light composting/cooking phase. Allows microbes time to start consuming organic nutrients from all the amendments added... The soil heats up a little during this process and some of the inputs can still be smelled individually. When it cools down after turning it a few times and it smells like the forest floor, it's ready to plant into. The last mix actually have a few critters and quite a few worms crawling around, really good sign of biological diversity. Not outside, it's in a bunker in our warehouse.

I intend to make up a cubic metre to use in 3 raised garden beds but I will need to do it in the beds themselves.

I'd planned to put a heavy mulch layer on top to keep the birds at bay, pulling it to the side when I turn the mix.

Will this cause any problems to the cook?

Ok guys I feel dumb... When using aloe powder, add it straight to your foliar solution as per instructions and use. If making the liquid concentrate you have to use it all within 24hrs or it goes off... There's no preservatives or pasteurization of course lol

So I'm just gonna take the liquid concentrate instructions off of the label I think and tell people to simply add directly to foliar or tea at 1tsp per 10L water. Easy and fool proof.
