When should outdoor start flowering?

Recommended Posts

All good mate, not as many roots as I expected, I reckon you need to up the watering/feeding significantly compared to what you have been doing previously.

Water slowly also. I water from a gravity fed tank so the pressure is bugger all. Let’s you move the hose around the pot while you water. It gets frustrating, as it’s slow, but I believe it actually gets water through all the medium rather than pouring a heap in quickly and watching a lot run out. I intend to cover the plants when we get rain (if that ever happens) so that the plants don’t get a heap of water running through the pots..

I try to water with minimal run off. I also find that once run off is becoming clear the plant has used all the medium has to offer and you will want to be giving it nutrients... could be wrong on this, but just an observation from my current grow. When my mix was new the run off was a nice tea colour.

Hope she takes off for ya now mate :)

Thanks mate ☺

I only water once every couple of days or when they tell me they need it. I nute every watering except during real hot weather, I'll give them straight water - just enough to stop them really dehydrating. I had a good look at the leaves today and there's definitely some nute burn so I think I'll go a bit lighter on the Power Feed. Being in 50L pots now, what do you think would be a good watering regimen? Nute feed followed by water a couple of days later and just keep alternating? Or maybe nute feed when they look like they're asking for a drink? Never used 50L pots before and have been hearing that they won't need as many waterings because of the extra size. I'm kind of winging it lol. My last plant was only in a 25L pot but it did pull a pound...

This time last year mine had heaps of flowers. This year I forced a couple early but none of the others in same strain have flowered. I blame the magnetic pole shift

:D . were they clones or seeds? Clones will flower early if you don't give them extra light but seeds won't flower until they are sexually mature. Also depends whether they are Sativa or Indica dominant.

They were from seed. 2 Double Affie and 1 Texas Guinan. Somehow the Double Affie produced a few seeds, not in the bud though. Just one seed in a sac lower down on the stem. I used that seed to grow this year's mother then clones, some which I've forced into flower and are looking great.

Only difference is the location. I was 2hrs drive closer to the west last year. Who knows!

Finally!

Spotted little flowers starting under the scrog canopy. The canopy itself still stretching and not quite in bloom but luckily i stopped tucking a little while back.

Should be just about to go.

Scrog outdoors has been fun but what a fuck load of work it is!
