Outdoor ScrOG

Got 3 outdoor seeds that just sprouted, got them in foam cups on a sunny window sill right now until I transplant into larger pots.

Been thinking of making a screen and trying a ScrOG because I don’t want massive plants like I did last time and I haven’t tried this before.

 

Just not sure how high above the plants the screen should be and when to start tying branches down and training them etc?

Whatever is under the scrog isn't going to get much light so you're better off putting it in as low as you can and weaving branches until time to flip. That's my opinion anyway.

That’s the hard thing with outdoor ScrOGs. Your never 100% sure when the plants going to flower so to me it needs to be a huge screen which will make it hard to clear the foliage under neath or access the tops in the middle

Sorry I completely missed the outdoor bit was too early. If they're outside, is there really a need to scrog? Heaps of other ways to keep height down

Hahahaha I guess there are better ways than trying a scrog. last outdoor grow the plants got big and i just tied down with string and tent pegs to reduce height.

this time i just want to keep them fairly small and not so obvious

I bend and even snap stems, I’m pretty rough with them.

And they come back [emoji106]

Make them tuff and a little knuckle grows were you bent or snapped it [emoji106] try it, you’ll see [emoji106]
