Bitch'n?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has used or is currently using Bitch'n by Growhard Australia.

I'm in week nine of flower with some Dutch Passion Blueberry (which as many of you will likely know is prone to herming) and I've been Bitch'n since I switched to 12/12. I'm aware that the active ingredient is a PGR (ethephon), but as ethephon is widely used in commercial food production I currently assume it's not too harmful.

I'm growing in coco under 600 watts with the full line of Canna coco nutes and additives, Bitch'n and some General Hydroponics Calmag Plus, nothing else. Should be ready to flush in about a week.

I decided on trying to grow DP Blueberry because it was both my first indoor grow and first grow where I was picking the genetics, and ordered the seeds before doing enough research on problems with the strain. Good news is that everything seems to be under control and I'm about a week off flushing. In other good news, I got sent some freebies from Attitude and probably won't bother with the Bitch'n again.

All this being said, I'm interested in the results others have had (taste, yield, etc.) with this product.

Thanks,

Ray

Cool name but i dont think you'll find many if any people on here using it if it is a pgr. What food crops do they use it on Ray.

Lols. If it has a pgr. You lose everything. Potency, taste, coloration, individual growth characteristics. Basically everything that differentiates strains. Everything that is about growing different strains.

All you get is attenuated low potency dense fucked up buds. I don't like smoking dirt.

Oh well. Was basically doing this first run as a trial. It's for personal use only, and I should yield somewhere in the vicinity of half a pound for two plants. At least I'll know for next time.

What a stupid name for a product. Who comes up with this shit. lol

I agree the name is stupid. It seems the indoor growing industry is very much aimed toward men. I emailed Canna and got sent a soft porn calendar, which is either amusing or bemusing depending on your take (I'm in the former category while my partner's in the latter).

The Bitch'n was recommended to me by the guy at the grow shop when I told him about the strain's propensity for herming. I wish I used an easier strain (which would have finished by now), but considering I didn't I'm glad I used the additive. Better to have smokable, albeit inferior, product than a tent full of useless seeds and then buying commercial stuff which likely has more harmful additives.

I'm still interested to know how it works. Plants turn the ethephon into ethanol, which they produce anyway. It has also seemed to limit stretch. As for speeding up the ripening as advertised, I'm on day 59 and still have at least a week which would seem about standard. Noticed the first amber trichomes yesterday, most are cloudy and there's probably triple the amount of clear trichomes to amber.

I'm due to refill my res on Sunday (day 61). Will flushing for longer help get back any of the genetic traits? I'm planning on flushing using only Canna Boost.
