Wow that would have to be an understanding friend or relative.  Wouldn't there be a chance of getting them a criminal record?

Well think about it. If the rare chance the seeds are found and they are confronted by police during delivery, all they have to do is deny it and play dum. Even if the police waited a couple months and raided, there would be nothing there anyway. And this is the worst case.
