Canna Soil + Nutes question

Recommended Posts

I've been looking at soil mixes and the only one that really stands out to me is the Canna Terra Pro, + Canna Terra Vega & Flores.

How solid is this stuff, is it worth it? I just want a solid medium for the plants to grow in, I'm aware that making your own soil is the best option (cheaper, less commerical etc..) but i just want to not have to worry about the soil being bad quality. As the for the nutrients as well, i'm sure that I'd want to stick towards using their range over anything else right?

Thanks for reading, if you have any other soil recommendations/nutes please comment down below

Onto a winner with Canna Terra

highly recommend with their range of nutes.

have a look through itchybromusic posts and you will

find some good living soil mixes

he is OS  resident organics guru..

thanks dots

i started indoor with canna terra pro & the biocanna range of liquid nutes + rhizotonic & cannazym

the only thing i think you have to do is activate it

as far as i know it is imported & there for treated for biological's when in customs

rendering it quite lifeless , i think you need to add that life back in , but that's the way

i grow , i never added any life back in the past when using it but was adding biology

the moment i transplanted into it

other wise it's a pretty good choice

While I do like it for the ease, I think it’s expensive for what it is. When it dries out it becomes hydrophobic. Shrinks, lose all the feed down the sides of the pot.

The recommended nutrients are also very, very expensive. $100 for a 1L container(Rhizo). Should get a blowie with every purchase :)

I keep getting given samples of rhizo haha, must have a litre or 2 lol. Don't even use the stuff haha don't need much with megacrop hey.

yep most if not all peat based mediums will do that if you don't keep up the moisture , even if it's a surface spray to keep the peat moist along with mulch

but yes re hydrating peat in a pot is not exactly a easy thing to do , larger volumes of soil will help with this prob , rather than having 5 20lt pots

better to have one 100lt pot with five plants

CTP is costly but what you get for $12-$15 bucks at bunnings , really is mostly crap , however all the soiless bagged potting mixes will grow a plant :)

when i was using the biocanna line , it was allot cheaper than it is now , now i use kelp & aloe , both have the rooting hormone you find in

propagation gels , as a not exact replacement for rhizo & i use malted barley powder as a replacement for cannazym = not quite the same thing but

benefits are the same or greater
