How To Turn Off Geo Tagging On iPhone And Android.

Recommended Posts

So what is GEO tagging ?

Geotagging is the process of adding geographical information to various media in the form of metadata. The data usually consists of coordinates like latitude and longitude, but may even include bearing, altitude, distance and place names. Geotagging is most commonly used for photographs and can help people get a lot of specific information about where the picture was taken or the exact location of a friend who logged on to a service.

Geotagging location services can be used to find location-specific websites, news and other information. It is based on positions and coordinates and is often directly taken from a global positioning system (GPS).

Some social networking sites and services give out the location of their users, which allows users to know exactly where their friends are as they are logged on to that website (or check-in to the service).

When tagging photos, the tagging may be done by the camera after processing the shot, or it can be applied when the photo is posted online. Some high-end cell phones have built-in GPS, so they can geotag any photos taken using the phone's camera.

Here is a few links on how to disable Geo Tagging on iPhone and Android.

I had the Huawei p7. It would call people in my contacts list while it was sitting on the coffee table in front of me. Piece of shit. Texting was a chore, it bounced your words around so a text saying hello would look like

Hi hore au yow.

Made me wild.

My experience is different. My first Huawei and I love it. Got one of the later models though. I can't fault it. Can't justify to myself paying for a new model iPhone even though I have the cash. I'm a Huawei convert. MLG

Yeh well the current Huawei range gets good reviews and they're a huge successful company, so no doubt my issues were specific to my handset and not the brand as a whole. Other than those recurring issues, the feel of the phone, the speed and the camera were all excellent.

Wouldn't suggest not getting Huawei, my phone decision is based on what's available when I sign a contract [emoji4]
