Hey guys and gals, excited to get another grow going this year, had 2 yrs off n itching to get back at it. Trying somthing new this year, i germed my seeds about 5 days ago. My plan is to start these girls early under a 110w cfl untill the daylight hours get longer. Going 5 of each but only picking the best 4. Il use a couple to check sun strength before i transfer outdoors to determine whether they need full shade or not to begin with.

 

A question i have is whats the minimum amount of light hrs i can give the girls in the tent before theyl go to flower? I figure as long as its under what the hrs will be outside when i plan to move them out there i sld be fine. But is it 12 exactly or under? I plan to put them out on the 27 of aug, with a day length period of 12hrs 16mins. So i plan on keeping girls under the lights at 12hrs 10mins. Will this be low enough to induce flower? Or is it 12 or under exactly? They are fem seeds and i dont want plants going through stress of flowering then re vegging.

why dont you just leave your light in for 13hs, then they will stay in veg.

 

imo  10min is not going to make any difference, they will start to flower.

Cause i was under the impression if they went outside and the hours were less than what they had in tent, yhey wld flower. Not 13hrs outside til end of october, or there about

Go the end of October, or if they reg photo seeds then you could put it out and I would suspect it would reveg no problem - just may go through a little stunted patch but it’s a long season they be back in no time.

Hi guesty, by my understanding the plants won't be sexually mature for around eight weeks.  Should get you enough time to let the sun catch up to your lights maybe then just let em go

Yea i think il go 13hrs and put out when its 12hr30mins. With each day gradually getting longer they sld be ok. Thanks for the help stoners

Some strains will flower at 13 hours. Some strains flower until 13.5 or even 14 hours so end October beginning November. Id keep them under 15 hours of light to vege them minimum. You could do 14 1/2. This would be the absolute minimum hours for vege time.

Interesting.. surley there are people here that do this like the boys in the emerald triangle. To get a leg up while the hrs outside n temps are low. Cant find the right info on it

Think i worked it out. I plan on putting girls out when daylight hrs are 13.5hrs long. So if i run it now on a 18/6 cycle, il just drop it down halfa a week from now i sld be right as its 10 weeks away. Fingers crossed it pays off
