Senate Hearing Will Review Federal Cannabis Restrictions

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know what the cannabis restrictions are in QLD? I know that growing/smoking is still highly illegal... however it states here; https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/all/medicinal-cannabis  that smoking cannabis or having access to cannabis is legal if you can provide supporting medical evidence.

It would probably cost an arm and a leg to purchase medical cannabis grown on the sunny coast medical marijuana farm. Surely they would make exemptions to those people who need their medicine, to allow for them to grow their own.

Interesting read regardless people.

Fingers Crossed.

"You cannot legally produce your own cannabis for medicinal use. Queensland does not have an amnesty scheme.

Home-grown medicinal cannabis products have unknown concentrations of active ingredients and contain potentially harmful contaminants. These home-grown products are easily diverted into the illicit drug market."

https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/all/medicinal-cannabis/access

In qld one plant for personal use is still "cultivating or producing illegal drugs"

Thanks for that mate. Not the news I was hoping for, but hey. I think in time things will further progress and they will allow for medical marijuana users to grow their own cuts from the farm etc.

After that, complete legalization (fingers crossed).

Anyhow, times are changing and at least the pollies are giving the all clear on medicinal marijuana in Queensland even if it hasn't progressed quite like it has in the states.

Thanks for that Dolly, shame I'm not in town at the moment or I would have made an appearance...

Take it easy people.

Tuesday there's a big rally in the city to support legal cannabis. If your going maybe wear a mask. Wouldn't be the first time police have been forced to go after people just trying to do the right thing.

Any further details on this dolly?
