Matanuska Thunder
thanks everyone for checking in These are Nirvana strains of 'Swiss Cheese' and 'Original Glue' they STINK too Both plants in coco being fed half strength due to the heat, using 40L every three days Added 2ml of P/K today and will add just a bit each watering till proper flowering startsGlue exactly a meter high Cheese, at 118high (measured from the top of the soil) no more 40c+ days here, the plants are liking the 30ish days much betterDaylight hours are getting shorter and shorter and the first signs of wanting to flower are showing up.13.5 hour from sunrise to sunset then another 2+hours of twilight Got more Coolaroo shades they make such a difference in the temp, esp the potsThis temp. setup is just so the neighbors can't see (they are both 75+) Now I need to make it stable so it can withstand the "Santa Ana" winds that will hit in a month or so Edited August 15, 2018 by Matanuska Thunder

TheInsideMan
Agree OMD. It’s like a red flag to a bull that says, if in case you didn’t notice, I’m growing weed in this spot right here . Bloody yanks. Looking nice matti. What about a greenhouse. They ok to use without extra cover being required? Matanuska Thunder
and 4 weeks later3 plants are in full flower now - calling it week 4 of flower but going by trichome colour for harvestOrrig Glue, Swiss Cheese and Wonder Woman (all Nirvana)Tent arrived put it together only to figure it kept in too much humidityPlants were showing signs of Powdery Mildew within days of their transfer to the new tent (PM is rampant/everywhere in my area)Did 2 treatments of Sulfer burning- all the PM has stopped spreading at this point but still not 100% gone. Changed the tent cover to a shade cloth, made sure the neighbors can't see and well, I'm no longer legal...but what ever Swiss Cheese is so fricken oily/sticky/stinkywas doing an inspection of her and spotted bud rotthen on closer inspection... not bud rot but the next worse thing and a cannabis growers worst enemy that lil thing could wipe my plants out overnight if they wanted tooafter snipping the damaged part out, this is what I was left with other than the grubby thing and the PM all is good Glue is doing great too has the slightest bit of tip burn - but a beauty of a plant Group photo L-R Wonder Woman, Unknown not-yet-flowering 'Indica' and Swiss CheeseWonder Woman is a small plant, she does not stretch much at flower, been growing WW for years, not one has stretched much, but the smoke is, tasty - she's a White Widow descendant, so if you like White Widow you'll like Wonder Woman too L Swiss Cheese R Unk indica The unknown indica (freebe nirvana seed) is still not in flower but is starting her stretch, she is so not an indica dom strain. Lanky and very sweet smelling right now I'm ready to pop a few more seeds Edited September 8, 2018 by Matanuska Thunder
Matanuska Thunder
first test of this crop using my crappy-yet-useful rosin press the under-ripe buds are from the area of the caterpillar damage from the above post - I cut all the poo and damage out before pressingbuds are 36hours post-harvest and still too moist to press properly The buds need to be freshly harvested but slightly air dried for the best returni'm trying to determine how old/dried my buds need to be for best pressing (last season it was 2 to 3 days) started with 2 average but small buds, pressed the crap out of themin return 2 solid dabs -crap return! a bit of extra rosin remaining in the buds - it will go into next butter batch pressed at 100c+/- first bud was 30sec second was 50sec, better return from second press
