I'm sure others have dialled in their drip systems but I was constantly fiddling which sort of defeats the purpose of automated watering. Even one pump with 4 offshoots I wasn't satisfied I was getting equal in each HH endpoint. I ended up getting 4 x Aquaone 102 model aquarium pumps. HH have a 13mm connection as do those pumps. 10 meters of 13mm flexi tube from bummings is about $10. Each pump $30 also has 13mm connection. 4 individual pumps give me confidence I'm getting equal flow to each HH. I have another in the res going 24x7 just to keep the nutes mixed. My res is 60 litres - a black storage box from bunnings with a lid I've drilled into for the tuning out.

The timer will set you back $50 and programmable in 1 sec increments.

Like I said, that's me. There are smarter and more capable ppl than me here who I'm sure have setup simpler and cheaper.

Was wondering the connection size of the HH - thank you!

I reckon this is something I can throw together and upgrade as I learn more

I'm using a 50L container for nutrients w/ a simple submersible heater

Ummm... I know I have to get a pump but... what type of pump? :/

R u checking water temps, I'm sure u tube would have mentioned that as well?

U only need a heater if your water temps r dropping below 16c

Alternatively not above 20c

This is where your water can carry the most away oxygen

Too cold u shock plants , too hot n a whole lot of different problems arise

Geezers it cost me less to get 1 ready to go with all inclusive, sock pots n al

Works a treat with 1 pump

MLG u might want to think about using 6mm tubes n fittings, this should jack up your water pressure n get all 4 working of 1 pump

I'm happy with what I have micmac and for me it works well. In my mind a pretty small layout for what benefit I'm getting by growing my own. Hydro halos are 13mm fittings as are the pumps. 1 halo per pump, DTW. MLG
