So much frustration spider v persi

Recommended Posts

Or not. Never tried it but somebody didn't like it https://www.rollitup.org/t/nite-spider-mite-load-of-shite.429657/

Like I said, repeated spinosad spray and drenches together with a lot more air movement in the tent with a fan spinning 24/7 worked for me in veg. Not sure what I'd do in flower.....poisons are not ideal even if "natural" like spinosad....

bout 5 or so years back, i had a bad spider mite infestation in flower,

was growing three plant of Northern lights from seed,

seeds from a mate from some back yard breeding,

the mites all migrated to the 1 plant and left the other 2 alone,

no sign of mite all all, so i left the donor plant in the tent,

and my god, it was covered in spider mite, with no damage to the other 2.

I put it down to maybe a different pheno type that the mite were attracted to more then the other pheno type?

not sure, but it was the weirdest thing i had seen!

Well I have gone hard with neem drench. Foliage neem/detergent/maverick and I think I have got it under control!

Just been at work all week and had my partner tending to it all... :) and I think it’s okay.

When I checked it tonight when I got home I noticed a couple of rust spots on the leaves.

So I’m thinking something to do with calcium, because I have her some Epsom salts last week.

I have been feeding lightly with powerfeed & potash... I need to find some Cal mag tomorrow I’m thinking.

I just got some general hydroponics flora 3 part series... might even try a dose of that stuff for ‘flower’ instead of the other regiment.

Would love to know your thoughts!

Thanks

:)

Ahh true micmac... Thanks for the word of comfort. Heres some photos anyway.

I had some problems with my moisture meter. Was just on of those cheap china ones... It had a bit of scale on the probes and it was giving poor water readings. So I haven't been trusting it. May have been doing a bit of underwatering? or Over? Not sure. But I cleaned the probes with fine wet and dry sandpaper. The probe responded a lot more promptly to watering. Maybe something for newbies like me to watch for... Because I tend to rely on obtaining data from probes/thermometers/humidity etc so I can feed back the information to get accurate advice as I don't really have the experiential knowledge yet. pH of runoff was perfect though! Phew!

You'll also notice one of the photos has a split stem. That is one of the main stems. I have no idea how long ago this happened... Damn! But the flower/leaves look okay on the affected stems.

Thanks for reading!

The lowest temp I get is 18 degrees; max 26 degrees - mean 23.8 degrees. With a humidity fluctuation between 57%-64% with a mean of 60%.

I have one of those target box fans that spins around- all flowers are dancing.

I am currently feeding - 1x capful potash per week. 1x capful powerfeed with 1/2 capful seasol & 1/4 capful go go juice every 3-5 days. Straight watering every 3-4 days with 20% runoff & checking pH every time.

Trying my hardest

Thanks again
