check ya plant again 

ants generally av no interest in plants but the do like to harvest the honeydew 

produced out the ass of aphid as they suck the sap out ya plant 

 

ants will actually protect the aphid from predators to keep the honeydew production happening 

 

you can use neem oil , dr bronners peppermint soap , aloe vera or soap nuts ,
