Hi just wanting to know when is best to plant in north qld?

I'm growing outdoor.

I did try to get one growing but has just gone to flower and it's only 300mm high

General rule of thumb for outdoor growing is sow on fathers day (early September) and harvest on mothers day (mid - late May)

Cause you need long day hours for Vegetative growth and shorter day hours for Flowering.

 

You may have to tweak the staring time depends if you still have early frosts or other weird weather, and same with harvest depends on the strain you might get an early finisher or late bloomer.

put your town in here https://www.timeanddate.com/sun/ this will show sunrise & sunset = day length for your town 

max day length is December 22 after which days get shorter , whats the max day length for your area on the 22 december ?

Cheers it dosnt really get below 12 at night and the days are always around 24-27. So I guess it all comes down to day light periods? The strain is somango

Correct James at least 13hrs per day lights hours a otherwise the just go to bloom [emoji106]
