I've been unable to keep up with the number of replies I've gotten to this thread (jokes), so I'll close it by saying I'm supporting the local hydro shop (the same one which told me to use H&G A for vege and B for flower!) and purchased a 1 litre bottle of their home made PH down apparently containing phosphoric acid.

3ml in a 40 litre tub takes it down from 6.7 to just under 6.0
