Can street lights cause hermie

Recommended Posts

more light the better...

you need alotta extra light this time of year if you are trying to veg through winter outdoors.

i would be bringing them in at night under some cfl to stop it trying to flower,

less stress means less chance of hermies, never heard of lights turning plants hermie.

I think aqua might mean more so for photos growing the outdoor season and that when it comes flowering will the street lights mess with the photoperiod, correct me if I’m wrong aqua

while in veg the extra light makes no diff , assuming there's enough supplemental lighting keeping the plant in veg already outdoors

just in my experience

yes , while in flower i've had a plant grow taller than my shed & get hit with a HPS street light

along with next door's random outdoor lights coming on & off , sometimes left on all night

didn't herm but did confuse the plant & stop it from flowering , couldn't be bothered waiting for

a re-veg so she got pulled , so might have herm'd down the track possibly , either way light effected

the plant , in saying that i've seen plants in the ground right in front of a house window & not have an issue outdoors
