Moved from paper towel method to peat pods and seed raising mix

Recommended Posts

temps & humidity / moisture are the main important things to have control of

heat mats / heated surface is good but having good consistent room temp is better

you can glad wrap the top of the pot / cup to help retain moisture & warmth = hot air raises

the glad will help to trap that warmth & bring up soil temp

handy to fill your cups before hand & leave them in the room to increase soil to room temp

B4 popping in seeds

professors seed stuff , don't know it but i'd say it's kelp , has all the micro-nutrients mentioned

but also has some of the same stuff in rooting gels , kelp & aloe cover 2 of the 3 ingredients

in rooting gels except for the man made nasty that's in all gels & you don't really need imo

the only extra you could add is fulvic acid , fulvic promotes enzyme production & the one thing happening

in a seed germing is enzymes kicking into gear

temp & moisture is all that is needed , that's soil temp & soil moisture

be careful of frying small delicate roots with a heated surface = room temp is allot more consistent

& if it changes , it changes very slowly unlike a thermostat on a heating mat which is in constant

up & down  as the thermostat turns off & on
