question Soil or Hydroponics?

I got a little grow going (cuttings), using just perlite, there not happy, got a trailer load of clean fill from the bridge works, bloody beautiful dirt it is,

made a mix of 40% soil 40% perlite 20% coco aprox, put in some of the dodgy ones, they love it, just adding water

the ones left in the perlite are really struggling to do anything much, not sure why, have used perlite before, never had any problems,

must be an operator error somewhere along the line 

 

trying to lighten me pots this year, a blokes not getting any younger or less fucked hey
