I think I stuffed up again

Ok. Here goes my second attempt at growing.

 

After some moods to my space bucket/space house I think now have it sorted.

 

I doubled the height of the space hose by placing another foil lined bunnings storage container on top of the other. I cut out the top of it and sat the light on top and fixed the ventilation so it flows nicely.

 

I am germinating an autoflower Amnesia and the little tail is sticking out.

 

1. Should l plant it in a small pot to start off with and transplant it later or am I better off planting it in the bigger pot from the start?

 

2. Do I put the pots in my space house from the beginning or do I wait for the seedling to sprout above the surface? The temps are quite cool in Australia.

 

3. My new light has a few switches on the back of it. 1 switch on it's own is a bluish light, the other switch on it's own is red and both switches on together is a pinkish/purple light. What colour do I have on when the seedlings are just starting out? From what I have been reading, vegitatin plants need the blue light and once they start growing buds I need the pink /purple light?

Haha. Thanks man. All I want is for these fu#kers to grow in winter. My home build space bucket is my best bet I would say. Come October and I'll be planting the seeds outside.

another thing you can try is vegging them through july into aug under 18hrs of light, then put them outside, they will bud in the early part of spring and can often be revegged after and grown through the summer

Good idea. I'll give that a try. When you say revegged, are you talking about a new seedling and not the same plant?

No the same plant, take it to maturity, cut the buds off n start the cycle again

Ok. Here's an update. This oh s ths 3rd week since I planted the seed and it sprouted. I think it is growing extremely slow considering the conditions.

 

The pot is in the space house and the temp is between 22 and 2t degrees C. Ventilation is by a fan in the space bucket and also a computer fan in the side of the space house. I have the LED blue spectrum light on 20 hrs on and 4 hrs off.

 

Should I be doing anything different? I have attached some pics of how the little fellow is growing.

It is an organic vegetable and herb mix with composted manure, blood and bone, seaweed and fish.
