Could someone identify the problem here?

Recommended Posts

Have started my first grow and this seedling has suddenly started to discolour at the first set of leaves and ia drooping a lot which im assuming is from overwatering?

Ph in the soil is at 6.5, medium is 50/50 soil/coco in a 70/30 mix of perlite.

Has been given 2 feedings of 1ml/L of powerfeed green, biobizz biogrow & seasol and soil has been fed with gogo juice.

Hope to hear from someone soon!post-63538-152526089901_thumb.jpegpost-63538-152526090824_thumb.jpegpost-63538-15252609222_thumb.jpeg

Definitely overwatering. Don't rely on the top soil to tell you if it needs watering. If the soil is dry inch deep, then it needs water. If it's still damp then leave it. Probably could have done without the nutes for a little bit longer to, but looking good man.

Yeah I thought that was the case, im letting it dry to that point now and using a soil moisture meter to help stop me drowning them hopefully hahaha. Got any experience with them?

I would agree with looking over watered but very very difficult to over water coco, also coco needs a ph of 5.8-6 for grow and 6-6.2 bloom but ph for soil is different so your going to have problems with this grow from the start, never mix soil and coco together , that’s why that other plant is exceeding the plants that have soil in them coz the will be getting nutrient lock out

Once roots are established I agree it’s all but impossible to overwater in coco especially with 20-40% perlite etc.

For seedlings though its a different kettle of fish for the most part. Overwatering seedlings in coco is prolly the number 1 issue that leads to sick looking, locked out, damping off problems that frequent these type of pages........probably rivals the old “full nutrient line at day 4 from germination”......for eg lol.

Most would benefit treating coco like dirt while in veg, It’s all about the roots the first half of the grow imo. In flower you will more than likely need to feed daily at a minimum anyways.

Thanks everyone for the advice, I assumed I'd have problems doing so from the beginning due to wimpy growth on the first plant.

When repotting time comes was going to make the medium just a coco/perlite mix as i seem to be expermenting with it currently and its going well. Was just wondering if this will help developing growth in the future or if it will do any harm to my plant?
