Bagseed is better than nothing, and if you just so happened to sample the buds from the bag that you got the bagseed from, that would be a good indication of what to expect if you managed to grow out a mature female plant.

Fuck me.. I need a :bonghit: after yhat

hey mate, all bag seeds came from a plant originally just the same as bought seed only difference is that you dont have much info about there genetics unless you know who grew it, id chuck them in and see how they go, if it was a good smoko then the plant should be alright too, im in south east qld so not much good growing this time off year outdoors but being a bit warmer where you are you might get some smoke if you plant enough off them, or go indoors with a light, dont stress to much about purchasing seed online its pretty much a common thing to do these days and as long as you buy from reputable seed bank you should be fine,seedman.com has some good deals going atm, cheers,GQ

Better try tested ones mate.thered lot of recomendations about safe and guaranted delivery so wont be scare from that prespective but yea bagseed is better than nothing mate but you wont have many info about the specific plant's needs ..you need to keep an eye on them as they grow and just see what they need.

Thanks for the help guys.

I’ve managed to get two little ones (hopefully girls) to pop up in the jiffy things overnight. The other 10 or so seeds weren’t viable... so time to pray they run good... if they males I might just let em go to get some seeds :). When I go back to my home town in northern Nsw, I might try source some. I have read heaps about that white widow, I really wana try that.

Thanks again :)

in the scheme of things buying some seeds off a company is 1 of the least risky things you will do, growing unknown genetics and possibly worthless males, wasting a lot of time on them is a problem with bag seed, paying the money for a female seed of stable genetics can save a lot of heart ache

Wow amork, I’m an idiot- here’s me thinking off any plant I’ll get seeds at some point

before I discovered OSA I didn’t even know that some plants have a sex. I was a total noob. The guys and girls about here will keep you on the road to success.

There are a few Aussie seedbanks, although most don’t offer fem seeds.

From reading the trusted aussies are Yantra (also the best bet for fem seeds), Southern Star Seeds (not sure on stock but legit) and one I can personally vouch for is Dinkum seeds (specialising in skunk varieties, the sour has so much flavour). The last grow I used 2 seeds and got 1 plant(fem). Needs a little longer then times specified when using LED(mars).

I hope this can help.
