Penalties for Hydro

Recommended Posts

Is it the same for hydro grown outdoors or just indoors? My old boy has aquaponics would it be the same penalty for that if you used it to grow weed? Fucking ridiculous. Pot is pot regardless how its grown and as long as you're growing it for yourself why even penalise it?

I am in Qld, hard to believe it could be better anywhere else, Qld generally has the harshest penalties, used to be anyway, may have changed

Posted from the OZ Stoners mobile app

Things have changed a lot in Qld since Sir Joe's days for the better but I think they have 'anti-hydro' laws as well still. cant remember the details off the top of my head but its covered under the DRUGS MISUSE Act 1986

Is it the same for hydro grown outdoors or just indoors?

Again it depends on the state,. In some it is others it isnt. In NSW for eg yes it would be the same under their definition of 'enhanced growing' be it indoor or out.

In SA the penalty is increased for any "artificially enhanced cultivation" techniques so that's for hydroponic, aquaponic or artificial lights.

So that covers outdoor hydro or indoor soil grows under lights

( a ) cultivation in a solution comprised wholly or principally of water enriched with nutrients; or
( b ) cultivation involving the application of an artificial source of light or heat;

They got ppl believing hydro is somehow so much stronger than it used to be , well that’s just plain bullshit

The field has been evened by hydro grows , meaning even inexperienced growers or growers who don’t have access to outdoors can still get a quality crop

Just found an article from the Sydney Morning Herald from 2011, I have not found any updates to the legislation since 2011

Reminds me of "The evil weed" mentality
