The manipulation of democracy by the media is a farce. The voting public thinks they are making informed choices when they choose who to vote for, but in actual fact are putting into power who the television screen tells them to. Witness the Australian election, the better party didnt win. Howard won because he was better at manipulating the media to his advantage. The public made their "decision" based on 30 second televison grabs. He appealed to peoples greed via the media and made people scared they were going to lose their standard of living. We have just witnessed the same turn of events in the states. Bush successfully made people scared enough to stick with him, even though he is quite obviously an idiot and a puppet. And yes, i believe youre right, it is another vietnam in that i beleive it has become an unwinnable war.

IMO i think that no matter who is the leader of the USA they will still push to "protect their freedom" by invading other countries for their resources and if they dont comply they will be killed off....

 

USA has the technological advantage + the funds to fuck most countries in the world who opposed them...Knowing this, its like they are top dog and if they cant get what they want, they threaten then invade if still not given what they want....

 

IMO i think the USA need a shit load more women running the country especially as president...would change alot of things + i think the world would become a much safer place actually i saw on entertainment tonight or some shit like that hilary clinton will be able to run for president in 4 years and is actually considering it and bills pushing for her to run as well :thumbsup quite sure she'll get alot of votes as she is the opera sterotype and the public might still feel bad that bill cheated on her giving her the sympathy vote

america i so fucked up right now, we cant even count votes correctly, now we have electronic voting, which in fact, you cant cheack the software, nor can u go back and cheack votes. There was serveal states that had problems with the new voting. North Carolina had 5 differant machines that stated counting backwards after 1200 votes counted. in Flordia 12000 votes just up in disapeard at one voting place- IN Ohio some machines did the same thing in NC.
