I had an no it all strip slot of the water/sugar leaves of about half way through the grow as well. Totally devastating coming back from a trip away and to see most of its leaves had gone . If you could take some pics that would help us to tell but you say they look clear and so they have started to ripen then. Depends on what you like really. Personally i like to go more amber which is more of a sedative affect while clear/smokey has more speedy feeling but it all differs form strain to strain so all the best on finding that sweet spot.
