First time grower in need of help

Recommended Posts

Your ph needs to be up a bit. In soil or potting mix ph of 6.5 - 6.7 is the ideal for those mediums. imho. Don't over do the tlc and they will be fine.

Looking around the Web I've seen similar pictures of plants that were originally over watered and needed a bigger pot and they looked exactly like mine. So I sorted that out today. The soil test of the newly purchased soil was around the 5.5 mark.

As an example if my soil has a pH of 5.5 .. What would you recommend is the right pH to boost it up that 1 point to 6.5?

Do you add water with a slightly higher PH of 7 or 7.5, 8? Is there a general rule? Any experienced growers advice would be great, thanks

dolomite lime should do the trick mate, it has a neutral PH of 7. Just water some in each water until you get the PH you want.
