A few questions for flowering (noob)

Recommended Posts

There is plenty info around on curing and recommended humidity levels.

Better than I can explain anyways.

These are awesome though. Takes the guess work out and will let you know when to burp.

At $4 a pop on eBay au you should get some.

Thanks for a reply mate.

I ended up getting some similar humidity readers, cheers for the idea.

I will look into it more around the forum.

Just a mini update...

I've ripped off a lot of the yellowing leaves but more leaves seem to be yellowing by the day.

I gave my plant another feed with 80% potash and 20% power feed in case it also needed some nitrogen in there.

The buds are definitely progressing and fattening up so that's positive.

I'm not so worried about the yellowing as I know it's normal... even if mine seems a little excessive, maybe it's just my strain of cannabis (CBD hash)?

How far off completion do you think I am?

I bought a jewelers magnifying glass also to tell from the trichomes.

Do you guys think the yellowing could be nute lock? I mean the buds are definitely progressing well imo, but then again I don't know shit lol.

everything looks good to me aloemist, all the right leaves appear to be yellowing in the correct manor and all the green leaves look good the only thing i would suggest is to remove those yellow ones as soon as you see them starting to turn, that way the plant can concentrate on producing bigger buds and not waist energy trying to repair damaged leaves but other than that its looking good to me, cheers,,GQ

Cheers green queen.

I have been mainly doing this however I read that the plant is technically taking nutrients from those leaves and bringing it into the buds so would it be better to leave some and let the plant fully take the nutrients it needs and let the plants leaves fall off naturally?

I guess just another way to look at it.

its is true that plants will resort to eating them selves up in its last stages of life but in my case the ground has been prepared with lots of organic matter prior to planting and we know that plants get most of its nutrients from the ground and atmosphere and for me i want those plants to suck up all the goodness( organic matter) ive provided it with so it can put all the best goodness into those buds, so for me i remove the yellow leaves to allow my plants the best chance of doing that, now you can certainly can leave them there if you feel thats what you want to do, im just telling you what i do and why but like i said its just a suggestion based on my experience and lots of observation over the years but at the end of the day there your plants and we all grow differently so you just have to decide whats best for you and your circumstances, cheers,,GQ

Personal experience is definitely the best teacher. Thanks for your advice.. I'll pull all the leaves off one and leave them on the other plant and see what type of difference I can see in yield.

Any idea how much longer I have til I can harvest these girls roughly?
