Harvest ready or not

Recommended Posts

Ok ok ok so trimming all the undergrowth between the branch buds and soil doesn't contribute to air flow? I suppose thinning the plant to prevent buds from touching does nothing to prevent mould.?

Trimming undergrowth certainly assists with airflow, no argument there. But lollipopin itself does not prevent mould.

You guys gotta realise that if an experienced member takes the time to read n post a reply ,99.9% they r spot on with their advice

Opinions on how to handle it may differ

If Merlin stopped in n offered me advice the last thing I would do is ? it, the guy knows his shit

Yeah they are in pots.

Due to limited sun, all my plants stretch and bud at the top only.

So not much undergrowth at all.

Have cut the mouldy parts of the buds off and moved them out into the open.

Hopefully no more mould.

So seems they have browned a lot at 6 weeks.

But, as someone said, some new white hairs emerging.

I hate this time of the grow, if they get pinched, it’s all for nothing.

I think you guys r relying on technology too much , you gotta learn when it’s ready, it will tell u, they r all different

If u keep relying on this , what will happen if if breaks or u loose it n can’t get 1 for a few weeks?

I know this sounds a bit harsh, but u if want to grow some good shit u gotta do the hard yards first

Experience is the best teacher, yeah I got 1 but I don’t rely on it , only had 4 wks , checked all my buds n they r just fine colour wise

Just my opinions

I'd say ooodog is about correct in that they seem 50% milky.

Depending on the stone you're after, you want a minimum 50% brown. The more browned off the trichomes are the heavier the stone.

The old school way to tell was when the hairs turned brown, but things have been refined a bit more since then and now we inspect the trichomes or the little sticky droplet on the leaves. It's recommended you get a scope to view them properly, but it can be done with a steady hand and a magnifying glass.

Here's an image that may help you identify them  https://cannabis.community.forums.ozstoners.com/topic/12055-all-join-in-just-a-pic-dump/page-294?do=findComment&comment=386182

Hope it helps

You will know when there ready, it will be the day you chop them lol

its not always the go, taking shit till there more amber then cloudy

there is some nice smoke to be had elsewhere, i'd encourage everyone to try different shit, at different stages of being ready

might find a few nice surprises in among the anti couch-lock shit

you never know till you have a go
