grow box

hello everyone ive been workin on a little grow box to get my seedlings start in and for mabye some clones later on down the track i was wondering if a 4cm 12 volt DC rotary brushless fan with ball bearing would be alright for ventilation? any help would be greatly appreciated

a 4cm fan assuming its a heatsink fan from a computer? you might get away with a box 1'x1'x1' but 4cm fan is tinny whats the cubic foot per minute? as long as you stick to one comapact fluro if anything bigger u should be looking at a bigger fan i made a clone chamber it would have been about 2 cubic foot of space i used a 6cm/60mm computer exhaust fan think it was rated 36cfm it was to much for my clone a dimmer does wonders Edited October 31, 2004 by Gazza2001au

ok thanx mate yer the box is only about 60 cm by 60 cm so its not that big at all ill let you know how i go!

i dont think it'll be enough for a chamber 2' by 2' grab your self a bigger fan i got 4 60mm fans off ebay for $12 but that was a while ago

at my local hydro shop they sell those SUNON fans ( 8 cm ) for $29 each and they have electrical cords that connect to the power point in the wall already. but ... yeah i guess you cold get sum comp fans from EB etc and hook em up to 12 volt adaptors.
