Mars hydro for 1 plant

Recommended Posts

Of course they'll replace the diodes they cost nothing. Then they send it back with new diodes ready to melt again. By the three year mark your so so sick of mars hydro and posting a light back and forth you want nothing more than to burn it.

Certain modern diodes carry a ten year warranty, put that on any product and people are likely to buy on that point alone let alone with a high quality grow light.

Theirs other options mate, You dont have to use them but don't promote the worst of the bunch to other members out of ignorance.

Who makes the 10 year warranty ones, while you're at it, what is a good Led if such a thing exists

Vero 13/18/29 SE carry that warranty, Its stated in their product data sheet. Cree and Citizen are likely simmilar. Cutter electronics sell solderless Vero kits for a good price. They'll perform long after other globes and outdated diodes are done for and were always more efficient at creating usable light.

And that's the key, creating usable light in the right spectrum at a constant rate, with no or little degradation over time, less power more light

not quite there yet compared to HPS, there are diodes outperforming the current stuff by 20% or so being tested by the big boys at the moment

I'd be waiting for commercial application of that technology

before spending any $ on Leds

Commercial application is well and truly underway and the units are availble but i see no reason to use a commercial light in a non commercial setting. A Vero 29 kit will outperform all entry level globes and is not marketed specifically for commercial use but can be applied and out perform in the setting anyway.
