Which good soil

canna system would def suggest using both & then some 

 

depending on how much soil you start with , the length of veg & flower time the plant will need to be in the pot 

yeah you could sow to harvest with prob just water 

 

like most things , throw a plant in the ground & water it & you'll have yourself a good harvest but

maximizing growth , quality & yield might require a lill more grower input though

All good thanks, CTP was on the list to try i just could not work it out and didn't want the nutes so went with local soil mixes and added worm casting and those plants seem to be bushing up quicker than those just in potting mixes, i am slowly coming around to the soil scene but i have only grown hydro for a good portion so its just mix up that day pot her up and water in the liquid feed i have never really looked to far and deep into a good soil system but a day learning is a day gained in knowledge

home made / well made compost or castings is pretty much key to growing good quality nutrient dense produce 

 

utilizing top dressing as a way of feeding plants via the soil life / mulch layer rather than bottle feeding , let's the plant

do it's thing to it's own schedule
