A+B nutrients made for coconut coir is primarily made of mineral salts and chelates with a higher ratio of calcium/magnesium to off-set coconut coir's tendency to .

 

Some minerals are chelated to prevent oxidation/insolubility but eventually, your nutrient/ion ratios will distort as chelates begin to slowly degrade.

Iron oxidizes easily and is commonly used in chelated form (i.e. EDTA or EDDHA) so I would guess that's the main culprit in expired Canna Coco A + B.

 

In other words,

 

If you want to use Canna Coco A +B that's "expired", keep an eye out for nutrient deficiencies, primarily iron.
