First time outdoor grower - HELP PLEASE!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

First time grower here. I’ve currently got a bit of a grow journal running.

I have a real problem with some of my plants and it only started today or yesterday. I’ve tried researching online what it might be and I just can’t pin point it. I think it may be caterpillars (small ones) but it just looks very very strange!

Please, if anyone can shed some light on this and help me eradicate this ASAP I would be very very grateful.

It’s happened to two of my plants so far

Gday BB,that leaf damage looks very similar to what i had going on a couple of weeks back and im p retty sure it was flea beetles and if you look closely at the first pick im pretty sure i can see one, middle of the pick and just a bit up slightly to left just on top of the serrated edge, the leave a mark of pin holes and other little holes and you could still have caterpillars as well as i had both i just used diotomatous earth for flea beetles and sprayed for the pillars,,,,GQ

Hi GreenQueen2

Thank you for responding! After you pointed it out I can see that little bug!!

I’ll have to pick up some diotomatous earth today and try and get rid of them before they do some serious damage!

What spray did you use for the caterpillars?

Thanks again

BB

d8a40827c1b78dbf8f9dde3d75a9f43e.jpgthe middle one pyrethrum spray for pillars, its already mixed and ready to go,the flea beetles like to get right down deep into the new growth and hide under the leaves so make sure the entire plant is saturated also do not do it in the heat of the day the best time to spray is late in the afternoon or at night even, good luck getting the little bastards but if you get onto it asap they should cause to much more of a problem for you,,cheers mate,GQ
