yeah i have similar as well

they call them worm towers

just a big bit of PVC pipe with some holes in it buried

with a bit sticking out the top with a lid

i've seen guys use a bucket with lid & handle

you can fill the bucket with compost materials

put the lid on , bury it & in a few months time

use the handle to pull the bucket out , rip the lid

off & distribute the castings round the garden

im not sure if the in ground setup will work at my place. soil is very compact red clay looking. been digging around lately an only notice a worm here an there. i do have my worm farm in action tho

hey mate

the top bucket needs to work like a strainer

to let the juice gather in the bottom but not the food

don't know if there is an actual hole size

big enough to let the juice flow out but small enough to keep the food & kashi contained above

all the bokashi brans will work fine , i prefer to stay organic & try to keep any possible nasty's

out of my produce growing , doesn't mean there is anything bad in any of them , just an ethos

i try & stick with as much as poss

bunnings have pre made worm towers

just me & not telling you what to do but

i would dig a hole & put one , which ever one , in & throw down

a summer cover crop round it

the cover crop will help keep the tower cool in the sun

the roots systems will attract more soil life , aerating the soil

& poo'in all over the joint , plus the cover crop will feed from the tower

the top parts of the cover crop become mulch & more food for the tower

i'm sure in time that red dirt will change color & become much more humus rich
