Obviously the LED's do run cool but it depends how u have your HID ventilation set up and if u would like to keep it ie: venting out into the roof cavity if ukeep this method than in winter your LED won't produce enough heat but in summer you'll be fine

My mrs is always worried about a fire which is part of the reason I’m considering upgrading. Just worried I’ll get the I’ll get the mars unit and not be happy with it.

Never be afraid to ask too many questions in regards to grow lighting, Markus. It's one of the biggest decisions to make.

 

Personally, I'm still a bit dubious about LEDs. Primarily about how they're constructed and diode's dying and ability to replace them. If I was looking to save some dollars, I'd probably lean towards a couple of 315w cmh lights myself.

 

But anyway, I hope you find what you're looking for.

A shit grower can even bang out something decent under HID, Under LED it does take some practice and refinement a good majority of LED grows are really horrible but the small percentage of good grows are awesome a common problem with LED is in winter when the weather is cold we rely on the lights to heat the room in this case that won't happen but in summer they'll thrive kind of vise versa from HID to LED winter to summer

My mate is never going back to HID again put it that way i too followed after i seen his and purchased a mars led I'm thinking of uploading pictures but a bit iffy about it

I’ve taken the leap and ordered a 900 and a 1x1x1.8 tent.

 

I’ve got 3 autos starting to flower under my 250hps so it’ll be interesting to see how they go when I put them under the led.

The mars are ok but the fans are a little loud there louder than my exhaust
