24 hour light cycle ?

Hey all,

 

just wondering in you can/should leave seedlings under flouros for 24/7.?

 

Ive got some seeds that have just sprouted and was just wondering if i should give them extra light or just start/leave them on 18/6 ...

Cool, how long can they stay on 24/7 ? Jus till theve established ? A week or so...

 

And should i give them any darkness in this time?

Plants can stay on 24/0 until it is time to flower them, the same applies for 18/6 or any of the preferred vegging times.

You can run them 24/7 thru the whole veg cycle, as I do :thumbsup .Then Icut them back to 13/11.Figure how many weeks yopu plan to grow.No darkness need.I will post some seedlings I PLANTED This seed on Oct 3rd.They have been under 24/7 since then.I did transplant this from soil to hydro and I could even tell they shocked at all.Hope this helps

with a fluro you should always have it on 24.

I also leave mine for 24, with hids. I only go to 18 if the rooms too hot, or the plant has something wrong with it.

If its sick let it sleep.

Yes fluros should be ran 24/7,even more than MH,or HPS

I know this next one varies heaps but how long does it take from when the seed sprouts till its time to change to 12/12 under the HID, from sitting under the fluros for 24/0 7days a week. If this makes sence

You should find that you get faster and stronger growth under the HID, you can force them to flower from a couple of weeks or so old but I like to start the flowering process when the plants reach 1/3 of the available grow height, that is the distance between the media and the bottom of the light at it's highest point, this allows for stretch and for the light to have a nice even spread across the canopy al through the flowering cycle.
