Here's a couple of picks , they show what I look for when they are young

The first pic is a female , the stipules do point in a little but they don't cross

In fortunately I don't have a true male only a hermie but I think it illustrates it pretty well

You'll notice the male side point in n across stem, whereas the female side of this branch doesn't

There's no real science behind it , just something an old timer told me yrs ago , if it didn't work I would have had heaps of males , but that was never the case, of course I missed the odd 1 but it has worked for me

Not all plants are the same others take longer to recognise and sometimes they show both in different places, these r the hermies

My eyes are stuffed so even with glasses I find it harder to pick up these days

As I said b4 start to try n recognise early , leave in for confirmation after a few years u learn what to look for

me a little fish in a great big ocean, i get a few nibbles occasionally 

Finished up 55 % in the super fund and about 400% up for me personal

Hoping for better things next year
