i'm pretty sure i've seen both M & F with either crossed or parallel stipules

Those little arms , right where the leaf or branch comes they r crossed or pointing in, if they point parallel to main stem female

Does that make sense

yes this is true but the females don't stay crossed they start to pull out, the males still point in towards middle

Here's a couple of picks , they show what I look for when they are young

The first pic is a female , the stipules do point in a little but they don't cross

In fortunately I don't have a true male only a hermie but I think it illustrates it pretty well

You'll notice the male side point in n across stem, whereas the female side of this branch doesn't

There's no real science behind it , just something an old timer told me yrs ago , if it didn't work I would have had heaps of males , but that was never the case, of course I missed the odd 1 but it has worked for me

Not all plants are the same others take longer to recognise and sometimes they show both in different places, these r the hermies

My eyes are stuffed so even with glasses I find it harder to pick up these days

As I said b4 start to try n recognise early , leave in for confirmation after a few years u learn what to look for

The casino's more addictive than most drugs,

 

Its pedro V computer V the stnut that run the show

me a little fish in a great big ocean, i get a few nibbles occasionally 

Finished up 55 % in the super fund and about 400% up for me personal

Hoping for better things next year
