Need advice making thc oil for patient

I have made the oil for a cancer patient using isopropyl alcohol but all the stockest seem to be out of the product or way too expensive. Its for a cancer patient.

I'm doing the rice cooker method.

Any tips will be greatly appreciated and also what can I use besides iso alcohol? And where could I find it. Need to have the oil made by this weekend before they run out of oil.

& yes they're F'ing expensive , but you are making a medicine that iso was never meant to make 

 

the other option is the glycerin method , a lill diff to alcohol , often used cos some get a burning in the mouth 

from alcohol & if there's kids involved , some might think it a better choice , plus it's water soluble

ps there is a desk top distill in the US ( won't help this weekend ) called the source turbo 

it captures the alcohol so you can re-use the same alcohol over & over  , you do loose a lill each time 

but you get allot more life out of a single bottle by all the guff on the unit

It can depend on where you are buying your iso from. I got some from the local chemist years ago but at an exorbitant price, it was $30 for 500ml

Electronic component wholesaler stock it. It's used in electronics to clean circuit boards prior to soldering. Tandys stock it but usually in small quantities and although not quite at the chemists cost, still an expensive way to buy it. True electronic wholesalers (not a Tandys or Dick Smith's) have 5 ltrs for $35, well, my wholesaler does anyway.

Another cheaper outlet is cleaning chemical wholesalers.

 

So that's iso, but I also agree with itchy, there are other methods ie using a still to recycle the iso, making tinctures with grain alcohol and the glycerine method.

 

P.S. I too use the rice cooker method.

I know thc is fat soluble bit is it as potent as iso acohold method. Also will I still get 60ml out of a pound?

if your talking glycerin , i would say prob not as strong but i think you'll end up with far bit more than 60ml

vegetable glycerin does not evaporate off , it's a sweet tasting liquid , you prob consume everyday , it's in many packaged foods  

 

you might have to re-work dosing ,which shouldn't be to hard if THC is being consumed , cos they'll get

stoned or not , in which case you add or subtract 

 

keep in mind THC consumed orally converts to 11 hydroxy thc in the body , 10x stronger than THC smoked
