GREENERY IMPROVES THE SCENERY

Recommended Posts

As far as I know they only did hardwood there, no pine, but maybe they treated some of the hardwood with cca as well. I'm cutting a bone sample out of my shin tomorrow when I'm on the tools, will send the bone to a lab for testing and another packet of soil from my veg patch just to be safe.  Osso Bucco is tasty

I remember watching a show on abc years ago where they were testing soils samples from around Sydney and Newcastle for its lead content and the results were staggering, the toxic levels of lead in the average backyards were so high that they actually advised some people to leave there homes asap in the best intrest of there health, homes closest to highways and busy roads has some of the highest readings as were homes located within close proximity of mining areas, lead paint and burning of fossil fuels like lead based petrol enter the environment and will remain there forever, its found in soil, water, dust and the ai r we breaath, pretty scary huh

the choice to live healthy gets harder & harder but more sites like this make people aware , who hopefully make there friends aware & there friends aware ect ect

the more you know the more chance , individually & community wise , you can force change , although things can take time , just look at canna , nothing like pissed off voters who want change though

as far as eating from your home garden , i think i would still take that over what's the standard at coles , would also look into other forms of gardening for food

& i'd be looking way way back well B4 mod cons , where things had to work or we starve , nothing like a bit of incentive

fermented foods were used allot back then because they kept well & were dam good for you , consuming food & microorganisms keeps you healthy

I agree about growing your own compared to mass produced fruit and veg,I've seen first hand some of the crap they spray on our food and it aint pretty so for me its an easy choice, and the beauty is you dont have to plant into the ground to have home grown you can buy some reputable soil and fill just about anything that has a cavity and grow your own

i'm currently growing in sip's , uses 2/3 less water but the plant is never out of water , impossible to over water

but if you tried to keep a soil that moist with watering from above , the plant would die , root rot

but watering from the bottom like an aquifer under a tree keeps it all good , then add the pro & prebiotics

& you have a nutrient dense final product to consume , honestly i think this is next level organics

& incredibly simple , kids could be taught this , fortnightly top dresses , weekly spray & a weekly steeped tea

that's it , no other requirement apart from whatever IPM you use but that's not a big prob either when plants

are this healthy

Yeah, that's what I'll be doing from now on.  Also looking in to wall gardens as I'm running out of ground space anyway, plus I hate bending over or digging, or basically any hard work on the ground, or above my head for that matter, hell I'm just lazy ok, I like workbenches, waist height I'm good at.

you got the perfect attitude to be a no till farmer :)
