yep if you've had no rain for a while the first lot you get is cleaning spouting's & roofs off

i find this hear anyway , if you bubble it you'll prob find it will foam , once again we're talking smaller tanks

not as big an issue with larger tanks , unless there's been no rain & just like low well water can be a bit

suss , the lower the tank go's the worst it'll be , i think anyway

keep in mind allot of that same rain is cleaning off bird shit on leaves , lill rodent poo washing in to the veggie patch

not all dome & gloom with a bit of for thought , mulching is a great water filter when watering slow or when it's raining

lots of probs around old homes , most have been painted with lead based paint = never put a vegge patch around the dip line of

an old house , soil is most likely fooked from flaky lead paint

Great!.......... I'm trying to remember how many tomatoes I must have eaten over the years from around my old house, now I'm paranoid I've probably consumed copious amounts of dodgy metals and poisons.  The land over our back fence can't be built on due to contaminated land apparently. God knows why, it's not like it was a servo or anything, only an old timber mill but who knows, the whole area could be radio active for all I know.  And here I was thinking growing my own vegies is the healthy way to go. Probably better off eating a packet of m&m's (which I'm doing right now) with all the colours and sugar and crap it's probably better for me than my home grown tomatoes. No wonder my kids don't eat them, they think eating things that grow out of the ground is just weird, unless it's in a plastic packet from the supermarket it just ain't food according to them.

basically I'm fucked, I also breath sawdust, smoke weed, don't eat right, work long hours and don't eat. But hey, life is short, live it up.  I was about to Google stuff like 'how can I tell if my land is contaminated with lead' but figured I'd be here for another hour just getting more paranoid about stuff I have no real control over.  Like the black helicopters that go over at night with no lights on, or those chem trail freaks out there! Should I be worried about lead now too Itchy?  My house may have had lead paint on it years ago, how long does this stuff stay in the soil for? Once it's all flaked off or painted over?
