GREENERY IMPROVES THE SCENERY

Recommended Posts

righto sitting with a cuppa been trying to get back to reply but as you know im busy busy busy so gaz il start with you, theres nothing technical about the way i dry, been doin it same way for a long time ive tried different ways over the years but always go back to the same ol same ol just because thats what works best for me and it goes like this, i like to trim while the plants are wet but with large amounts thats not always possible so i start with my favorites and trim what i can the rest will have to wait till i can get to it,i like to pull them roots and all and hang them upside down again thats not always possible in which case i saw them of at the ground, when there to big to hang whole plants upside down i cut off the single branches and a hang as usual, it MUST be in a dark, cool, dry area, single branches will always dry faster than whole plants, some off those big girls take weeks to dry, you will know when there dry when the bud stems break off from the main stems with ease with a snap sound, and its important to make sure you have air circulation,i like to have a fan going while im drying but not directly on the plants you just want to keep the air around them moving, this will help will a lot of mould issues but you should still check for mould daily, basically thats it once youve done all that there ready to start curing, i know people have lots of different ways of doing it but thats what i do hope it helps, cheers gazza, oh yeah this is probably pretty obvious but when you pull em with the roots attached make you have a hose ready to blow away all the dirt otherwise when you turn em upside down dirt falls straight onto buds and sticks to the trichs lol sounds dum but i have done it lol good luck with it gaz,,GQ

hey micmac, they dont always produce fruit in the first season but sometimes they do if your lucky, the smaller black ones i was talking about before im pretty sure they are the nelly kellies i have going and for my area wont start flowering till later in the year but worth the wait because i recken there nicer than the Panama,s although there all good, passionfruit flowers are are beautiful too, to look at not to eat lol also i recken passionfruit vines are only good for about 6 to 8years after that you need to pull them up and plant new ones

hey bob, trichomes are very delicate and it does not take much for trichs to bust open but one thing to be aware of is if there's a lot of clear trichs and still immature then you would have to put the busted tops down to being busted before there time, bees bugs wind heavy rain and hands can all be reasons that would explain that and some but to be looking at thrichs that are already amber/brown/golden however you want to say it is the key thing here, does that help? lol
